
Leonardo Coccorante was an Italian painter who was active in Naples. He is best known for his large highly detailed landscapes with imaginary classical architectural ruins and often included small figures in the foreground to emphasize the enormity of the ruins. A pupil of
Orizzonte, he was employed as a decorator at the court of
Charles de Bourbon.
